Peter VanRyn
On Wednesday January 28, Pete passed away as the result of a massive heart attack. Pete played tight head prop for the club between 1983 and 1988. He was a good friend to Grimsby Rugby and will be missed. Pete's daughter Shaunna plays prop for Grimsby Secondary School.
It has been said that football (meaning soccer) is a gentlemen's game played by hooligans while rugby is a hooligan's game played by gentlemen. Thus we are the Grimsby Gentlemen and I am the president of the Grimsby Gentlemen Rugby Football Club for 2009,2010,2011,2012, 2013,2014,2015,12016,2017,2018,2019
